Job summary

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is seeking a Water and Habitat Project Manager to lead large WaSH projects worldwide, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget. The role emphasizes design, implementation, and oversight of water facilities in urban settings, with strong emphasis on partner relations and reporting.

Ideal candidates bring 10–12 years of WaSH project management experience, proficiency with drawing software, and a PM certification.

Qualifications

• Languages: Minimum Level B2 in French and English; a third language is an asset.
• University degree (or equivalent) and qualifying experience in hydraulics, architecture, civil engineering, environmental engineering or related field.
• Project management certification is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct needs assessments, feasibility studies, and project proposals to define scope, resources, costs and timelines.
• Develop and implement project methodologies, technical designs, and work plans in alignment with ICRC policies.
• Manage procurement, contracts, and project teams, including consultants and contractors.
• Oversee project implementation and monitor progress to achieve expected outcomes.
• Address challenges and implement corrective actions as needed.
