CERN is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Vacuum to work on vacuum systems for a future accelerator (FCC-ee). You will help select, characterize and validate materials and processes for ultra-high vacuum components, and be involved in samples, prototypes, production and testing.

You will participate in internalising key manufacturing technologies for large components and collaborate with CERN-wide teams and external partners on the FCC-ee study.

Formación

• Experience with metallic and ceramic materials for UHV applications.
• Experience with metallic and ceramic additive manufacturing processes.

Responsabilidades

• Actively participate in the development of the FCC-ee vacuum systems, focusing on materials selection, characterization, validation and prototyping.
• Contribute to internalisation and in‑house development of key manufacturing technologies for large components.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to the FCC-ee study.
• Communicate regularly with CERN-wide services and external partners.
