Job summary

Hydromea in Renens, Switzerland, seeks a Robotics Software Intern to work on EXRAY underwater vehicles. You'll implement behavior logic, pilot ROVs in tanks, test missions, and field deployments, bridging software with hardware.

You'll contribute to production and R&D projects, including autonomous inspections and long-term fish pen residency, developing impactful software while staying close to the hardware and real-world missions it powers.

Qualifications

• Experience writing embedded software in C/C++.
• Familiarity with Python scripting for UI and tooling.
• Comfort with real-time data visualization and dashboards.
• Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA/CH citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Pilot Station Interface components (Navia) and sensor integration.
• Build data-rich dashboards for monitoring and control to advance autonomy.
• Maintain and optimize embedded code on microcontrollers and Raspberry Pi systems.
