Zusammenfassung

Voliro AG in Zurich is seeking an UAV Technician (80%-100%) to assemble, test, and service our flying robots. You will solder, test, and flight-test drones, perform end-of-line checks, and contribute to improving manufacturing and test procedures.

The role demands hands-on craftsmanship with electronics and mechanics, a proactive and structured work style, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the team. Start date ASAP.

Qualifikationen

  • Excellent craftsmanship with electronics, mechanics and integrated systems.
  • Precise, thorough, hands-on problem-solving attitude.
  • Proactive, independent, and structured work ethic.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on and pragmatic mindset.
  • Team player, autonomous and motivated.
  • Driving license CH-Cat. B.
  • Good command of spoken and written English; German a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant positions.
  • Experience with Linux.

Aufgaben

  • Assemble, maintain, and repair drones and equipment.
  • Soldering and testing of mechatronic systems.
  • Test-flying our novel drones.
  • End-of-line testing and incoming goods inspections.
  • Operating different tools, test benches & jigs (training will be provided).
  • Keeping the workplace clean and highly organized.
  • Contribution to further development of our manufacturing, assembly, and test procedures.

Your role

We need your help to meet the growing demand for our flying robots. As a UAV Technician, you will focus on assembling and testing new drones and getting them off the ground.

Your responsibilities
  • Assemble, maintain, and repair drones and equipment
  • Soldering and testing of mechatronic systems
  • Test-flying our novel drones
  • End-of-line testing and incoming goods inspections
  • Operating different tools, test benches & jigs (training will be provided)
  • Keeping the workplace clean and highly organized
  • Contribution to further development of our manufacturing, assembly, and test procedures
Your profile
  • Excellent craftsmanship with hands‑on experience with electronics, mechanics, and integrated systems, including soldering
  • Your work is precise, thorough, and diligent with a hands‑on problem‑solving attitude
  • You demonstrate a proactive work ethic: goal-driven, independent, and structured
  • Entrepreneurial thinker with a proactive and pragmatic mentality, hands‑on and problem‑solving attitude
  • Team player, open‑minded, autonomous, goal‑oriented, and highly motivated
  • Driving license CH-Cat. B
  • Good command of spoken and written English, German as a plus
An outstanding candidate will also bring some of the following:
  • Knowledge of drone design and building
  • Drone piloting experience
  • Hands‑on ability to troubleshoot HW/SW systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Technical degree with proven craftsmanship.
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant positions.
  • Experience working on both mechanical & electrical systems
  • Experience working with Linux
