Hochstrasser Personal represents a commodity trading company headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, seeking a mid-level shipping operations specialist to oversee international transportation and shipments in collaboration with the trading team.

You will interact with ship brokers, insurers, inspectors, customers and agents, handling documentation, credits and LC-related tasks while monitoring risk and credit limits. This role offers growth within a multinational team.

Qualifikationen

• Some years of experience in shipping operations within the dry bulk shipping sector (mid-level)
• Accurate working and detail oriented, able to independently manage tasks and work in a team
• Fluency in English and advanced language skills in Spanish and Portuguese are important

• Interact with stakeholders including internal departments, ship brokers, insurers, inspection companies, customers and agents
• Handle financial aspects of international transactions such as opening L/Cs, negotiating and issuing documents, cashing L/Cs, manage credit limits
• Supervise execution of the physical trades of goods (bulk shipments)

On behalf of a successfully operating and further expanding commodity trading company, headquartered in the City of Zug.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and organize international transportation/shipments in cooperation with the trading department
• Interaction and correspondence with various stakeholders, such as internal departments, ship brokers, insurance and inspection companies, customers and agents
• Following the financial aspects of international transactions, such as opening L/C’s, negotiate and issue documents, cashing of L/C’, manage credit limits
• Supervise execution of the physical trades of goods (mainly bulk shipments)

Requirements

• Some years of experience in shipping operations within the dry bulk shipping sector, (this is a mid-level position)
• Accurate working and detail oriented, ability to independently manage tasks but also work in a team, ability to work under pressure
• Fluency in English and advanced language skills in Spanish and Portuguese are important

You will be part of a multinational team and a growing company with a central office location in Zug, Switzerland. You will be working in a smaller team with the potential to grow internally.
