Job summary

EFG International seeks a Software Engineer to join the IT Trading & Treasury team, supporting mission‑critical front‑office systems used by around 50 traders daily. You will own technical delivery, integration, and support across order management, pricing and position keeping across securities, derivatives and structured products.

The role blends hands‑on development with vendor integration, ensuring data consistency and smooth production runs.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of application development and/or support in financial IT.
• Proficient in Java and/or Python producing production code.
• Strong SQL skills; read/optimize queries in Oracle/MS SQL; familiar with Windows/Linux servers.
• Fluent English; Italian is advantageous for Lugano location; French a plus.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, finance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and run of order management, pricing and position keeping platforms.
• Design and implement in-house apps for trading desk use and integration layers.
• Provide L2/L3 support across trading workflows and coordinate with vendors and IT teams.
• Collaborate with traders, Market Risk and Operations to translate business needs into tech solutions.
