ABB Motion, a global leader in motors and drives, is hiring a Power Electronics Engineer for Traction Projects (80-100%). You will design traction power electronics converters and energy storage systems for rail vehicles, collaborating with global teams to deliver robust, efficient solutions.

Reporting to the Power Electronics Engineering Manager, you will lead testing, drive technical leadership, and contribute to standardization.

Qualifikationen

• Power electronics engineering design background.
• Experience with traction converters and energy storage systems is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and collaborate across teams.

Aufgaben

• Design traction power electronics converters and energy storage systems (ESS) for rail applications and ensure seamless integration within vehicles.
• Lead the specification, execution, analysis and documentation of Type and Qualification tests for robust system performance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance, optimize design processes, and support cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvements in traction product families.
