Job summary

Celanese is seeking a Product Development Specialist - Thermoplastic Elastomer to act as the technology expert for the Hytrel TPC family. You will advise business management, stewardship, manufacturing, and quality teams to align on technology directions and business decisions, while handling product development responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science, polymer science, chemistry or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in thermoplastics manufacturing or product development with engineering polymers.
• Strong knowledge of polymer characterization and testing methodologies.
• Ability to influence across technical, commercial and operations teams.
• Experience troubleshooting complex product/process issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

• Act as technology expert for Hytrel TPC product family and guide other teams.
• Provide technology recommendations to business management, stewardship, manufacturing and quality.
• Develop and release new Hytrel TPC products when needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Materials Science

MS/PhD in Materials Science or related field
