Job summary

TRX seeks an experienced Test & Validation Engineer to support testing and validation of robotics and automated systems in Zurich, Switzerland. The role is a 12-month, site-based contract ensuring that robotic systems meet performance, safety, reliability and quality requirements before release.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in test engineering, validation engineering or related field.
• Experience in robotics, industrial automation, mechatronics or automated systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of functional testing, performance testing, endurance testing and regression testing.
• Experience writing test plans, test cases, test scripts and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing setups is a plus.
• German language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, test cases and validation procedures based on product requirements.
• Conduct functional, performance, endurance and regression testing of robotic and automated systems.
• Analyse test results, identify issues and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams to investigate failures and identify root causes.
• Validate corrective actions and verify that identified issues have been resolved.
• Develop and improve automated test coverage to enhance testing efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain test rigs, fixtures and testing equipment to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
• Work with sensors, motors, control systems and related robotic components during testing.
• Ensure traceability between product requirements, test cases and validation results.
