Job summary

ALTEN Group in Switzerland is seeking a Requirements & Test Automation Engineer to support software development projects by combining requirements engineering, test design, and test automation. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, developers and QA teams to ensure software quality, traceability and efficient test execution in an Agile environment.

This permanent position offers broad exposure to multinational clients and opportunities to grow skills in Playwright, Cypress and Python

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing and test automation.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Familiar with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience with requirements management and test documentation.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Professional English required.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Experience with regulated environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements.
• Produce and maintain requirements documentation.
• Design, execute and maintain manual and automated test cases.
• Ensure traceability between requirements and test activities
• Analyze defects and support root cause investigations.

We are looking for a Requirements & Test Automation Engineer to support software development projects by combining requirements engineering, test design, and test automation activities.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to ensure software quality, requirements traceability, and efficient test execution.

Responsabilities

• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements;
• Produce and maintain requirements documentation;
• Design, execute and maintain manual and automated test cases;
• Ensure traceability between requirements and test activities
• Analyze defects and support root cause investigations;
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts;
• Contribute to test strategies, test planning and reporting;
• Collaborate within Agile development teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software testing and test automation;
• Hands-on development experience with Python;
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Squish or similar tools;
• Experience managing requirements and test documentation;
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory;
• Experience working in regulated or quality-driven environments would be advantageous;
• ISTQB certification would be a plus;
• Experience with requirements management and test management tools is highly valued.
