Job summary

Strativ Group is seeking a Telecom Engineer for a hands-on, on-site role in Switzerland, taking ownership of the communications subsystem from requirements through to flight hardware.

You will build RF link budgets, define radios and antennas, integrate with spacecraft and ground teams, and support ITU licensing activities. Space experience is valuable, but relevant experience from other industries is welcome. You should be ready to relocate to the area.

Qualifications

• Proven telecom or RF experience across system levels.
• Ability to connect link performance to hardware choices and end-to-end testing.
• Willingness to relocate to Switzerland and work on-site.

Job description

I'm working with a European space company developing spacecraft for demanding orbital missions. They're looking for a Telecom Engineer to take ownership of the communications subsystem from early requirements through to integrated, tested flight hardware.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for:

• Building and maintaining RF link budgets across mission phases
• Defining telecom requirements and selecting radios, antennas and other equipment
• Integrating and testing the subsystem with spacecraft and ground segment teams
• Supporting radio licensing and ITU filing activities

You could come from a telecom, RF or communications systems background. The key is that you've worked beyond one component and can connect link performance, hardware decisions and end-to-end testing. Space experience is valuable, but I'm open to relevant experience from other industries.

The role is fully on-site in Switzerland, so you'll need to be based in or open to relocating to the area.
