Qnity is seeking an Application & Development Engineer for Elastomer Parts to support the Semiconductor Industry. You will work with commercial teams, marketing, R&D and operations to lead technical and customer-facing aspects of new product and application developments.

The role emphasizes travel (over 70 days per year) and collaboration across OEMs, fabs, and end users, with English and German language requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Semiconductor Engineering, Microelectronic and Microsystem.
• Strong experience in the Semicon Industry with knowledge of sealing solutions.
• Experience for Application Engineer role or strong desire to work in customer-facing environment.

Aufgaben

• Provide Technical Support to assigned customers in the region, with focus mainly on Semicon Industries as well as CPI (Chemical Process Industry) customers
• Identify and develop new applications for Kalrez Perfluoroelastomer parts as per the Semicon and Industrial marketing plan
• Ensure specifications of our products at the key OEMs, FABs, strategic end users and at relevant institutes / technical working groups
• Follow technology trends, evolution of industry standards to be first-to-the market with up to date information and product
• Coordinate part performance analysis to optimize product offering.
• Define corrective actions and follow-up to completion
• Conduct training, seminars and webinars to customers, new prospect and distributors in order to promote value proposition from the product line
• Lead/coordinate internal and competitive product evaluations, data generation packages, new test development
• Prepare/contribute to product literature, sales tools and case stories for new and existing products
• Raise product awareness through papers at relevant conferences and participate to fairs and events

Within our Kalrez EMEA technical team, we are currently seeking a (A&D Engineer) Application & Development Engineer for Elastomer Parts business supporting the Semiconductor Industry. We are looking for a customer-focused, highly motivated Engineer to drive growth at strategic customer accounts within the electronic and Industrial market. Part of the technology organization, this position works in concert with commercial teams, marketing, custom parts, R&D and operations to lead the technical and customer-facing aspects of new product and new application developments.

Your key responsibilities:

Your qualification profile:

• Master’s degree in Semiconductor Engineering, Microelectronic and Microsystem
• Strong experience in the Semicon Industry (Fabs and/or OEM) with knowledge of sealing solutions
• Experience for Application Engineer role or strong desire to work in customer-facing environment
• Experience in design and simulation is an asset
• Knowledge in Quality System like ISO9001 is welcomed (internal auditor, Quality responsible) as well in rubber technology
• Ability and flexibility to travel independently of the location and working status (over 70 days of travel per year)
• Languages: fluent in English and German, basic in French is preferred
