Pi Imaging Technology - a Zeiss company is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to bridge customers and the technical team, supporting the full product lifecycle from pre-sales to post-sales assistance and helping integrate SPAD-based imaging products into customer systems.
You will collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to present detector solutions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to documentation, while representing the company at trade shows and technical meetings.
Company: Pi Imaging Technology - a Zeiss company
Position: Full-time
Pi Imaging Technology is a fabless semiconductor company developing single-photon detector arrays with extremely high sensitivity and low noise. We enable our partners to create innovative imaging and sensing solutions for cutting-edge research in life sciences (confocal microscopy, fluorescence (FLIM) imaging) and quantum technologies.
Our detectors are based on single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) designed in standard CMOS technology, enabling photon-counting arrays with megapixel resolution and flexible architectures. These sensors are integrated into plug-and-play camera modules, supported by FPGA firmware and C++ software for a seamless user experience.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will serve as a key interface between customers and the technical team, supporting the full product lifecycle—from pre-sales consultation to post-sales technical assistance. You will work closely with pioneering technology companies and research institutions to help them integrate our SPAD-based imaging products into their systems, resolve technical issues, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
You’ll join a collaborative and fast-moving team working at the frontier of single-photon detection technology. This position offers the opportunity to combine deep technical knowledge with direct customer engagement, helping bridge the gap between advanced R&D and real-world applications in science and industry.
