Job summary

Ansaldo Energia in Birr, Switzerland, is seeking aMaintenance Planner to ensure maintenance activities are properly planned, documented, tracked, and administered from both technical and administrative perspectives. The role supports outages, overhauls, and ongoing plant maintenance.

Key tasks include planning work orders, maintaining asset data in API Pro, handling documentation, and analyzing KPIs while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or process engineering.
• Experience in maintenance of industrial facilities or power plants preferred.
• Strong MS Office knowledge; CMMS experience (API Pro) is an advantage.
• Good written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage maintenance and inspection work orders.
• Maintain asset data and preventive maintenance plans in API Pro.
• Document completed maintenance and repair activities.
• Manage technical documentation (drawings, manuals, certificates, inspection records).
• Prepare and analyze maintenance KPIs (plant availability, backlog, failures).
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Support spare parts management and material procurement.
• Support projects, plant overhauls, and outage activities.

Position: Your main responsibility is to ensure that maintenance processes are properly planned, documented, tracked, and administered from both a technical and administrative perspective. This role serves a key function within our maintenance organization. Your tasks

• Plan and manage maintenance and inspection work orders
• Maintain asset data and preventive maintenance plans in API Pro
• Document completed maintenance and repair activities
• Manage technical documentation such as drawings, manuals, certificates, and inspection records
• Prepare and analyze maintenance KPIs, such as plant availability, maintenance backlog, and equipment failures
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Support spare parts management and material procurement
• Support projects, plant overhauls, and outage activities

Requirements:

• A technical qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, process engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the maintenance of industrial facilities or power plants is preferred
• Understanding of technical operations and industrial processes
• Strong organizational skills and confidence in handling technical documentation
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• High level of service orientation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Good written and spoken English; German skills are considered an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as API Pro, is an advantage
