RIVR, part of Amazon is seeking a Technical Lead – Testing Engineer to own the testing strategy for our robotic systems, from actuator characterization to full system validation. This hands-on leadership role combines bench design, automation, data analysis, and mentoring.

You will define test infrastructure, develop Python/LabVIEW scripts, collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems teams, and push toward reliable hardware performance and data-driven design decisions.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or related field.
• 7+ years in hardware testing or validation, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience designing and commissioning test benches for electromechanical systems.
• Strong Python for test automation, device control, and data analysis.
• Familiar with sensors, instrumentation, and calibration requirements.
• Ability to translate test data into actionable design insights.
• Experience creating test plans, cases, and qualification criteria.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a workshop and use tools safely.

Aufgaben

• Define and own end-to-end test strategy for structural, mechatronic, and sensing subsystems.
• Establish testing standards, processes, and reporting formats across the team.
• Make architectural decisions on test infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Drive continuous improvement of test coverage and predictive capability.
• Design, commission, and operate test benches for mechatronics systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, LabVIEW).
• Process and analyze test data to extract meaningful metrics.
• Compile clear test reports and feed learnings into design reviews.
• Mentor and grow test engineers; collaborate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems teams.
• Coordinate with external labs and suppliers when needed.
