Job summary

Swisslinx AG in Switzerland seeks a skilled Technical Business Analyst for a 12-month contract (extension highly likely) to join the Analytics Hub team, supporting financial reporting and control across divisions.

You will conduct business analysis with finance stakeholders, perform technical analysis across applications and data layers, and translate business needs into technical solutions while engaging senior managers on site five days a week.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of BA experience in finance, commodities or trading.
• Strong data analysis skills with SQL/PLSQL.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Our client is looking for an experienced, technically strong Business Analyst to join the Analytics Hub team, which underpins financial reporting and control across all divisions.

The role sits within technically capable team responsible for delivering analytics and data solutions across the business.

The role covers:

• Business analysis and requirements gathering with finance, accounting and controlling stakeholders
• Technical analysis and investigation across application and data layers

Requirements:

• Proven Business Analysis experience, ideally in a financial services, accounting or commodity trading environment
• 5–8 years of experience — ideally a developer or technically strong analyst who has moved into a BA function, and who understands data
• Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL knowledge — able to read and interpret procedural code, packages and stored procedures to support analysis and investigation
• Comfortable investigating technical issues spanning applications, data pipelines and databases
• Able to translate between business requirements and technical implementation without a middleman
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage directly with senior stakeholders, finance managers and controllers
