We are currently looking for experienced System Safety Engineers to join our international aerospace team in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety assessments for aircraft systems, including avionics, sofware-intensive, electrical, and mechanical systems in accordance with aerospace certification requirements.
- Develop, validate, and verify safety requirements using established aerospace safety processes and methodologies.
- Conduct safety assessments such as FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, FMEA, CMA and PRA following ARP4761/A
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to assess system architectures and ensure robust, certifiable aircraft designs
- Support certification activities by preparing and presenting safety evidence to internal stakeholders and Airworthiness Authorities
- Contribute to risk assessments for continued airworthiness and evaluate the safety impact of engineering changes throughout the aircraft lifecycle
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in System Safety Engineering or a similar engineering role, within the aerospace industry, with hands-on involvement in aircraft development or certification projects
- Strong knowledge of SAE ARP4761/A, SAE ARP4754A/B, and civil aircraft system development processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather, synthesize, and clearly present complex technical information across multiple functions
- Independent, pragmatic, and constructive working style, combined with strong analytical thinking, integrity, and sound judgment
- Professional proficiency in English (German is a plus )
