EMEA Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a private equity-backed, global group. We are seeking a hands-on Accountant to join a lean corporate finance team in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day financial accounting processes across key entities. In this role, you will maintain accurate general ledger management and support month-end and year-end closing cycles, ensuring compliance under Swiss GAAP and US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent).
• Practical experience in general ledger accounting in an international environment.
• Hands-on or working knowledge of Swiss GAAP and US GAAP accounting standards.
• Fluency in German and professional-level English are essential.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in compliance with Swiss GAAP and US GAAP.
• Assist with local statutory accounting and reconcile local Swiss statutory requirements with US GAAP group reporting.
• Maintain day-to-day general ledger accounts including fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of local financial documentation and liaise with external auditors during audits.
• Collaborate with local finance colleagues and the wider group to ensure consistent accounting practices.
• Provide support on ad-hoc accounting tasks and process improvement initiatives.
