Job summary

Sika is a specialty chemicals company seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for Injection Molding in the EMEA region. The role involves evaluating suppliers, coordinating audits, and driving quality improvements across the supply base with travel to sites.

Based in Switzerland with offices in Romanshorn and Widen, the position supports procurement and engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and improve injection molding materials and processes while ensuring robust quality management systems.–

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry or a related chemical field is required.
• Experience in quality management within the automotive industry and with the VDA 6.3 standard is required.
• Familiarity with Automotive Core Tools is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork with the ability to assert oneself when necessary.
• Fluency in German and English; French or other languages would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop potential, new, and existing suppliers in the injection molding sector.
• Analyze supplier data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and risk migration strategies.
• Coordinate internal and customer audits at supplier sites.
• Be responsible for supplier complaint management.
• Collaborate with procurement and engineering to assess and qualify new suppliers.
• Support development and improvement of injection molding materials.
• Oversee and improve management systems to ensure quality performance.
• Travel to supplier sites 30% to 50%.

• Evaluation and development of potential, new, and existing suppliers in the injection molding sector

• Responsibility for supplier complaint management
• Work closely with the procurement and the engineering team to assess and qualify new suppliers
• Support for the development and improvement of injection molding materials
• Responsible for overseeing and improving management systems and ensuring quality performance
• Visiting suppliers, involving 30% to 50% travel

• Degree in chemistry or a related chemical field or a comparable qualification
• Practical experience and knowledge in quality management within the automotive industry and with the VDA 6.3 standard.
• Familiarity with Automotive Core Tools would be an advantage.
• A team player with the ability to assert oneself when necessary
• Fluent in German and English, French or other languages would be an advantage
