Job summary

GE Vernova Gas Power seeks a Supplier Engagement Leader to drive supply base strategies and partner with commodity leaders to ensure supplier performance aligns with growth plans. You will enhance supplier processes, develop initiatives, and foster lean improvements across MSD, BOP and HRSG value streams within the HDNU projects sourcing team.

Travel internationally up to 25–40% is expected. A background in sourcing for power generation and familiarity with SAP, Smartsheet and Tableau are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR HS Diploma/Equivalent major experience Supply Chain
Significant experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Operations or Project Management in Power Generation or EPC companies

Responsibilities

Partner with commodity leaders to execute supply strategy
Partner with suppliers to improve delivery performance for physical products and supporting documentation
Establish daily management processes to support communication of project execution status and risks
Extend lean thinking and execution to suppliers
Using Problem Solving and Lean Tools, lead cross-functional teams identifying systemic causes of delivery delays and implementing long term improvement actions
Provides technical expertise in areas such as process development, capacity planning, inventory requirements and operational management within a project based environment
Coach, train and mentor sourcing organization members, on the fundamentals and principals of Lean Manufacturing.
