Job Description

Arthur Academy is a network of small public elementary charter schools that operate in David Douglas, Gresham, Portland, Reynolds, Woodburn and St. Helens school districts.

We are seeking substitute teachers for the 23/24 school year.

The job description includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Substitute teachers must implement teacher lesson plans. These lessons will be taught in the form of Direct Instruction curriculum in the areas of reading, spelling, language, and math, along with some Core Knowledge.
2. Track student progress from lessons taught that day.
3. Maintain classroom control and monitor students in other settings, such as lunchroom, playground, etc.
4. Complete a daily report to communicate any pertinent information resulting from the classroom day.
