Job summary

Medair in Switzerland seeks an experienced fundraising leader to shape and drive philanthropy across the country and Liechtenstein. The Head of Philanthropy will set strategy, align donor engagement, and grow sustainable revenue through private and institutional giving.

You will lead the Individual and Institutional Philanthropy teams, collaborate with affiliates, and represent Medair with key partners. This role requires strategic vision, people leadership, and a track record in fundraising,

Qualifications

Hold a higher-level degree in communications, marketing, journalism, fundraising, photography and/or video production.
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, plus storytelling.
Experience in fundraising, digital marketing, and with CRM systems (prefer Salesforce).
Training in project management, budget management, and people management.
Skilled at gathering, sorting, and prioritising information.

Responsibilities

The Head of Philanthropy leads Medair's philanthropy strategy and fundraising performance across Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Provides strategic direction to the Individual and Institutional Philanthropy teams, ensuring aligned donor engagement, effective resource allocation and sustainable revenue growth.
As part of the Engagement leadership team, the role contributes to Medair's global fundraising strategy, strengthens collaboration with affiliates and represents Medair externally with key philanthropic partners in Switzerland.
