Spacetek Technology AG in Gümligen, Switzerland, seeks a data-science/physics oriented engineer to design and implement algorithms for spectral analysis and to develop signal-processing pipelines for instrument automation. The role sits in an interdisciplinary, agile team near the boundaries of physics.

You will analyze mass spectrometry data, contribute to software development with code reviews, tests, and CI/CD, and apply strong statistical skills.

Qualifikationen

A degree in Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or a related field.
Strong statistical analysis skills and the ability to critically evaluate experimental results.
Practical experience writing production-quality Python code.
Proficiency in Git and collaborative software development practices (code review, CI/CD).

Aufgaben

Design, implement and evaluate algorithms for spectral analysis
Develop, maintain and extend signal processing pipelines and instrument automation procedures
Analyze mass spectrometry measurement data: isotopic ratios, repeatability, uncertainties and instrument performance
Contribute to collaborative software development: code reviews, unit and integration tests, CI/CD pipelines
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team in an agile environment, operating close to the limits of physics
