Zusammenfassung

Fortil Lausanne is seeking a Hardware Engineer – Space Design & Test to lead the hardware lifecycle for space-grade electronic systems. You will design boards, perform validation, and collaborate with system, software, RF and manufacturing teams across multidisciplinary projects.

The role requires a degree in electronics or related field and at least 5 years in hardware design/validation, ideally in regulated aerospace environments. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware design or validation, preferably in space/aerospace.
• Experience with analog, digital or mixed-signal hardware development.
• Strong PCB design, schematic and layout review skills.
• Proven board bring-up, debugging and hardware validation capabilities.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop electronic boards for space and aerospace applications.
• Contribute to analog, digital and mixed-signal hardware architectures.
• Translate system requirements into reliable electronic solutions.
• Perform schematic design and component selection, and support PCB layout reviews.
• Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts and validation platforms.
• Support board bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Define and execute hardware verification, validation and qualification plans.
• Perform functional, electrical, EMC and environmental testing at PCBA and product levels.
• Support the integration of electronic boards into larger systems and subsystems.
• Contribute to design reviews, technical trade-off analyses and DFM/DFA/DFT activities.
• Support industrialisation, production readiness and supplier interactions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, qualification files and validation reports.
• Collaborate closely with system, software, mechanical, RF, manufacturing and industrialisation teams.
