Job summary

Commodity Supplies in Zurich seeks a dynamic Solutions Consultant to join the Commercial team. This role combines business insight with technical expertise to design tailored solutions, accelerate sales cycles, and deliver successful customer outcomes.

You will partner with Sales, Product, and Operations to translate client needs into effective solution designs, present compelling demonstrations, and support RFI/RFP responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or related field
• Proven experience as a Solutions Consultant or similar customer-facing role within enterprise software/SaaS
• Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, or related industries
• Fluent written and spoken English; other languages beneficial
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery sessions to understand business processes and technical requirements
• Translate client needs into solution designs and technical specifications
• Design and present tailored solutions leveraging product capabilities and integration options
• Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept workshops
• Support the sales team as a technical and functional expert throughout the sales cycle
• Prepare RFI/RFP responses with accurate alignment to customer expectations
• Provide effort estimations and implementation guidance for proposed solutions
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Implementation teams to ensure feasible and successful delivery
• Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product innovation
• Develop sales enablement materials, technical documentation, and case studies

This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys combining business insight with technical expertise to help clients solve complex challenges. As a key partner to our Sales, Product, and Operations teams, you will play a critical role in designing tailored solutions, accelerating sales cycles, and ensuring successful customer outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand business processes, challenges, and technical requirements
• Translate complex client needs into effective solution designs and technical specifications
• Design and present tailored solutions leveraging our product capabilities and integration options
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept workshops for clients and stakeholders
• Support the sales team as a technical and functional expert throughout the sales cycle
• Prepare and contribute to RFI and RFP responses, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer expectations
• Provide effort estimations and implementation guidance for proposed solutions
• Collaborate closely with Product Development, Operations, and Implementation teams to ensure solution feasibility and successful delivery
• Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product innovation and strategic decision-making
• Develop sales enablement materials, technical documentation, and case studies

Who We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Solutions Consultant, Business Implementations, Presales Engineer, Solution Architect, or a similar customer-facing role within enterprise software, SaaS based environments
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, or related industries
• Excellent ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with CRM platforms and project management tools
• Familiarity with integration technologies such as APIs and ETL processes
• Fluent written and spoken English, other language skills are beneficial
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
