Job summary

SGI in Basel, Switzerland is seeking a Software Engineer who can take ownership of tasks and deliver stable, incremental changes frequently within a financial services context. The role requires based in Switzerland or willingness to relocate.

Key duties include contributing to the Risk IT micro-services stack in C#, refactoring a legacy .NET Framework codebase toward .NET Core and OpenShift, assisting with a Cloudera-based Data Lake, and implementing Kafka-based interfaces with banking IT

Qualifications

• Experience delivering software in financial services is required.
• Proficiency in C#/Java/C++ and Python is expected.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Risk IT micro-services stack in C#.
• Refactor legacy .NET Framework to .NET Core for OpenShift.
• Assist in transitioning to a Cloudera-based Data Lake.
• Replace legacy interfaces with Kafka-based streaming architecture.
• Participate in rotating on-call support for system stability.
