Job summary

Alfa Laval in Allschwil near Basel is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to bridge QA and QC on the shop floor. You will be highly operational in early months to learn products and processes while supporting non-conformities and customer claims. The role includes audits, documentation, and continuous improvement across QA/QC processes.

Fluency in English is required; French and German are a plus. A strong quality mindset and collaboration with stakeholders across production teams are essential

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• At least 5 years in a quality-related role in an industrial environment.
• Experience with customer claims and non-conformities.
• Fluent English; French and/or German advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as interface between Quality Management and Quality Control.
• Be on the shop floor and collaborate with operational teams daily.
• Support management of non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Prepare quality documentation and participate in project quality activities.
