Quality Engineer: Shop Floor & Customer Liaison

Job summary

Alfa Laval in Allschwil (Basel-Landschaft) seeks a hands-on Quality Engineer to bridge the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams on the shop floor, driving collaboration and daily excellence in product quality and customer satisfaction.

You will stay close to production, understand challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives, including handling non-conformities and customer claims to ensure timely, effective resolutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• At least 5 years of quality-related experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience dealing with customer claims and non-conformities.
• Fluent in English (French/German a plus).

Responsibilities

• Interface between Quality Management and Quality Control on a daily basis.
• Be present on the shop floor and work with operational teams.
• Support and back-up for management of non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Lead internal and external audits.
• Prepare quality documentation including MDBs, ITPs, and certificates.
• Participate in customer and supplier quality interactions as needed.
• Contribute to development and standardization of quality tools and processes.
• Improve Quality Control processes and metrology program.
