Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to support semiconductor etch production in Switzerland. You will maintain wet chemical and plasma etch equipment, ensuring high availability and productive uptime.

You’ll troubleshoot, plan preventive maintenance, manage spares, document activities in MES, and collaborate with engineering, R&D, and operations to drive process improvements while upholding HSE standards.

Qualifikationen

• Technical vocational training in automation/electronics or related field.
• 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience in semiconductor or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of plasma tools (e.g. AMAT, LAM systems).
• Solid understanding of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and vacuum systems.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and in shift operations.
• Good communication skills in English (German is a plus).

Aufgaben

• Maintain and optimize wet chemical and plasma etch equipment to ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex systems in collaboration with OEM partners.
• Plan and support preventive maintenance activities to improve tool performance.
• Manage spare parts and contribute to equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and operations to support production goals.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and MES data tracking.
• Identify and implement improvements in tools, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and promote a safe working environment.
