Zusammenfassung

Affidea SA is seeking a Server Engineer to ensure reliability, security and performance of its IT infrastructure across Switzerland. You will design, implement and operate server and storage environments supporting essential healthcare services.

In this role you will collaborate with network, security and application teams, manage lifecycle and vendor relationships, and contribute to IT governance. Fluency in English plus German or French is required, with Switzerland-focused responsibilities.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Server Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Solid experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V, VDI).
• Experience with server, storage and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, patch management and system administration.
• Experience working with external vendors and IT service providers.
• Experience participating in infrastructure or digital transformation projects.

Aufgaben

• Gather and prioritize infrastructure requirements from projects and business stakeholders.
• Design, implement and maintain server and storage infrastructure.
• Prepare and review technical specifications.
• Represent server infrastructure in IT projects and governance meetings.
• Collaborate closely with network, security and application teams.
• Manage the server asset inventory and infrastructure lifecycle.
• Plan capacity, investments and hardware replacement.
• Coordinate supplier selection and procurement activities.
• Define infrastructure standards (Windows Server, Linux, VMware, patch management, virtualization).
• Maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Provide 2nd level support across Switzerland.
• Coordinate 3rd level support with the Group IT teams.
• Manage external infrastructure providers.
• Proactively communicate risks, issues and improvement opportunities.
