Rieter in Winterthur, Switzerland, seeks a Senior System Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable IT infrastructure globally. You will work on server/storage virtualization, AD services, and automation, collaborating with global IT teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in IT system engineering, strong Windows Server/VMware skills, and experience with Entra ID and security practices.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer engineering/IT or related field.
• 7–10 years of IT system engineering/operations experience.
• Strong experience with enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and related management tools.
• Very good knowledge of storage and SAN technologies, including operations and lifecycle management.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft services.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation of recurring tasks.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, including server hardening and monitoring.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity concepts.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, operate, and improve global IT infrastructure services focusing on server, storage, SAN, virtualization, and AD technologies.
• Manage physical and virtual server platforms, storage systems, and data center hardware.
• Plan hardware lifecycle activities: refreshes, firmware updates, capacity planning, EOL replacements, vendor coordination.
• Provide second- and third-level support for server, storage, SAN, virtualization, Windows Server, and AD services.
• Analyze requirements and develop secure, scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure compliance with configuration, security, and documentation standards.
• Automate recurring tasks using scripting and tooling, especially PowerShell.
• Collaborate with global IT teams and external partners to ensure reliable services.
