Job summary

Axetris AG in Central Switzerland is seeking a Wafer Production Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for innovative micro-optical products. You will own process development, ensure stability and high yield, and apply structured methods like FMEA and 8D to prevent issues.

Strong collaboration with production, quality, and maintenance teams is essential. The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, several years in semiconductor manufacturing, and fluency in German

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field with several years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
Experience with wet-chemical processes and wafer processing is an advantage.
Strong analytical and quality-focused mindset with hands-on approach.
Ability to communicate in German and English within a technical environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement manufacturing processes for new products and technologies.
Improve process stability, yield and throughput through data-driven methods.
Own processes technically and apply structured methods to prevent issues.
Lead production introductions of new processes and maintain documentation.
Act as a second-level technical support for production, quality, and maintenance teams.
