Job summary

Fortil is seeking a Requirements & Test Automation Engineer (M/F) to join our multidisciplinary team in the canton of Vaud. You will drive the full software lifecycle, ensuring robust requirements engineering, end-to-end traceability and high software quality through test automation and verification.

Reporting to a technical manager, you will contribute to verification, validation and quality assurance activities, collaborating with software, systems and product teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Extensive experience in requirements engineering and software testing in regulated or safety‑critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational and business needs.
• Review, write and maintain system and software requirements.
• Ensure consistency, quality and traceability of requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify and refine requirements.
• Create and maintain verification and validation artefacts.
• Develop test strategies and test plans.
• Design and implement automated tests using Python.
• Develop and maintain software test frameworks.
• Execute manual and automated test campaigns.
• Analyze test results and investigate defects.
• Perform root-cause analysis of software anomalies.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, implementation and test results.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing activities.
• Produce verification and validation reports.
• Contribute to quality assurance and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with software, systems and product teams.
• Participate in Agile development activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the industrialization of testing processes.
