Ekkiden is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a long-term project in Switzerland, focused on a mission-critical software solution in a highly regulated environment.

The role emphasizes automated testing strategies, design and maintenance of test suites, and collaboration with engineering and product teams to increase coverage and reduce risks across CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifikationen

• Strong professional experience in software test automation.
• Very good programming/scripting skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience testing both HMI/user-interface and backend software.
• Solid knowledge of automated testing methodologies and test architecture.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD environments.
• Ability to analyse complex systems and identify meaningful test coverage gaps.
• Experience with test reporting, traceability and coverage metrics.
• Strong documentation skills and a structured, quality-focused approach.
• Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with technical teams.

Aufgaben

• Analyse existing software interfaces, test environments and current test coverage.
• Identify critical gaps and define automated testing strategies.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test suites.
• Develop automated tests for software interfaces and configuration data.
• Create boundary-value and out-of-range testing scenarios.
• Increase automated pre-integration and regression test coverage.
• Create and maintain test data, including simulated inputs.
• Contribute to performance, load, stability, reliability and security testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce clear test reports, coverage metrics and traceability documentation.
• Analyse test failures and distinguish software defects from test issues.
• Document test environments, installation, configuration and execution procedures.
• Collaborate with software engineering and product teams.
