Zusammenfassung

Gi Group UK is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist AI & Data Engineering in Basel to design and implement advanced agentic AI workflows and multi-agent data systems for clinical data management.

You will apply prompt engineering, deploy on AWS, and build scalable data pipelines while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance with HITL workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or related field.
• 8+ years delivering AI/ML solutions; 3+ years in full-stack software or data engineering.
• Strong Python and AI orchestration frameworks experience (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL, APIs, vector DBs (Chroma, Pinecone), and RAG architectures.
• Experience deploying AI on AWS; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of model validation, reproducibility, explainability, governance in regulated environments.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; fluent English.

Senior Technical Specialist AI & Data Engineering (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
• Develop and maintain multi-agent systems that automate complex clinical data management processes.
• Apply prompt engineering methodologies, including Chain-of-Thought, ReAct, and Reflection, to ensure robust and reliable AI outputs.
• Deploy and operate AI-powered solutions within AWS cloud environments.
• Build scalable applications and data pipelines for scientific and clinical data processing.
• Collaborate closely with Data Integrity and Quality teams to ensure traceability, reproducibility, and regulatory compliance of AI-driven processes.
• Establish Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows and tool-calling agents for critical decision-making processes.
• Contribute to software quality through CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, monitoring, and observability practices.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience delivering AI/ML solutions and at least 3 years of experience in full-stack software or data engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and hands‑on experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex, or comparable technologies.
• Proven expertise in SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, vector databases (e.g., Chroma, Pinecone), and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on AWS and working with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD environments.
• Solid understanding of model validation, reproducibility, explainability, and governance within regulated environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Nice to Have:

• Experience within highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, biotechnology, finance, or aerospace.
• Knowledge of clinical trial processes and clinical data standards.
• Experience with MLOps, DevOps, monitoring tools, and workflow analytics.
• Understanding of security frameworks for AI and agentic workflows.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise architectures and system integrations.
• Contributions to open‑source AI projects or internal AI platforms.
