Nebius is building a fast, agent-native search platform designed for AI systems. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to develop runtime services, optimize end-to-end request handling, and scale the system to thousands of requests per second with strict latency budgets.

You will work on low-level performance tuning, data access patterns, and observability, collaborating with ML and indexing teams to keep the architecture modular and measurable.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of production backend experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in C++ or Rust in real-world, high-load services.
• Experience deploying, debugging incidents, and rolling back changes in production.
• Think end-to-end about request flows across components.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and operate core runtime services for serving search queries at scale.
• Build and optimise request flows, including query processing, retrieval orchestration, and response assembly under strict latency budgets.
• Develop systems that maintain performance and predictability under high load.
• Optimise CPU, memory, and data access patterns in performance-critical paths.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and predictability across production services.
• Collaborate with indexing and ML teams to integrate retrieval and ranking components while keeping ML logic decoupled from core system internals.
• Monitor throughput, latency, and resource usage, and drive improvements in performance and cost efficiency.
