Nebius is building a next-generation AI cloud and a fast, agent-native search platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and implement the indexing and data processing layers that ingest and organize massive data for efficient retrieval by AI agents.

You will focus on offline and nearline pipelines, ensuring freshness and scale, with tens of gigabytes per second throughput, across evolving datasets, while collaborating with runtime and ML teams to align indexing outputs with

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience building production backend or data infrastructure.
• Strong Go experience; C++/Rust is a plus.
• Experience with large-scale data processing systems (10+ GiB/sec).
• Experience building or operating databases, storage systems, or indexing pipelines.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and scalability.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and operate large-scale indexing systems and data pipelines at the core of our search infrastructure
• Develop and optimise indexing strategies balancing performance, freshness, and resource efficiency
• Work on storage formats, compaction strategies, and update mechanisms to keep data accessible
• Ensure reliability and predictability of pipelines under high-throughput conditions
• Build well-tested components with clear responsibilities and interaction contracts
• Define observability primitives, including logs, metrics, and data quality signals
• Monitor throughput, resource usage, and cost, and drive optimisations
• Collaborate with runtime and ML teams to meet retrieval and ranking requirements
• Enable safe experimentation on indexing strategies with quality signals
