Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate and transform the technical backbone across factory and racetrack environments. You will manage virtualization, storage, identity, endpoint deployment and cloud integration to ensure secure, scalable operations at Hinwil, Switzerland.

The role combines hands-on engineering with operational responsibility, supporting race-critical IT at Audi’s F1 site.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT.
• Several years of hands-on IT infrastructure engineering in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy).
• Endpoint management (Intune/SCCM).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Practical experience with IT infrastructure operations, lifecycle management, patching and configuration.
• Experience with PKI, certificates and secure system integration.
• Basic databases and their operational support.
• Basic networking and cloud integration perspective (not design ownership).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code / scripting and automation / monitoring tools; ServiceNow is a plus.

Responsibilities

Audi Revolut F1 Team is the official factory team of Audi, as the brand enters the FIA Formula 1 World Championship for the first time in 2026.

The team is based in three locations: the power unit is developed by Audi Formula Racing GmbH at the Audi Competence Center Motorsport in Neuburg, Germany; the chassis is engineered and race operations are managed from the state-of-the-art facilities of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland; while the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK in Bicester, United Kingdom, provides a foothold in the heart of 'Motorsport Valley', with direct access to top F1 talent and key strategic partners.

The IT Infrastructure team is responsible for designing, engineering and operating the technical backbone of the Audi F1 Team. This includes datacenter, (Multi-)cloud, Kubernetes, network and workplace platforms across factory and racetrack environments. The role combines operational responsibility with engineering ownership. The System Engineer ensures stable, secure and high-performing infrastructure services while actively driving transformation towards a simplified, scalable and security-driven architecture.

This position for the Audi Revolut F1® Team is based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Your mission

• Engineering and operation of core infrastructure platforms including virtualization, storage, backup, server, client and supporting infrastructure services
• Contribution to security initiatives such as endpoint hardening, vulnerability management, and segregation
• Support of racetrack operations and remote infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure race execution
• Engineering, Operation and continuous improvement of identity and endpoint management platforms (including Active Directory, Group Policy, EntraID and Intune)
• Support and integration of network and cloud services in collaboration with dedicated teams and persons within IT Infrastructure
• Engineering, operation and continuous improvement of endpoint management and client platforms

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience
• Several years of hands‑ons experience in IT infrastructure engineering in enterprise environments
• Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, especially Windows Server & Active Directory Domain Services (including domain management, Group Policy and identity services)
• Endpoint management (e.g. Intune / SCCM)
• Experience with virtualization platforms (i.e. VMware) and hybrid cloud environments
• Practical experience with IT infrastructure operations, including system lifecycle management, patching and configuration
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificates and secure system integration
• Basic experience with databases and their operational support (e.g. installation, maintenance or troubleshooting in collaboration with specialists)
• Basic understanding of networking and cloud environments (integration perspective, no design ownership required)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code / scripting and automation / monitoring and logging platforms / ServiceNOW would be nice to have
