Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team is building a robust IT Infrastructure to support datacenter, (Multi-)cloud, Kubernetes, network and workplace platforms across factory and racetrack environments. This role focuses on stable, secure, high-performing services while driving security-driven architecture and transformation.

The System Engineer role is based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland, delivering engineering, operation and continuous improvement of core infrastructure and endpoint management

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure engineering in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, especially Windows Server & Active Directory Domain Services (including domain management, Group Policy and identity services).
• Endpoint management (e.g. Intune / SCCM)
• Experience with virtualization platforms (i.e. VMware) and hybrid cloud environments
• Practical experience with IT infrastructure operations, including system lifecycle management, patching and configuration
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificates and secure system integration
• Basic understanding of networking and cloud environments (integration perspective, no design ownership required)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code / scripting and automation / monitoring and logging platforms / ServiceNOW would be nice to have
• Fluent in English

The team is based in three locations: the power unit is developed by Audi Formula Racing GmbH at the Audi Competence Center Motorsport in Neuburg, Germany; the chassis is engineered and race operations are managed from the state-of-the-art facilities of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland; while the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK in Bicester, United Kingdom, provides a foothold in the heart of 'Motorsport Valley', with direct access to top F1 talent and key strategic partners.

The IT Infrastructure team is responsible for designing, engineering and operating the technical backbone of the Audi F1 Team. This includes datacenter, (Multi-)cloud, Kubernetes, network and workplace platforms across factory and racetrack environments. The role combines operational responsibility with engineering ownership. The System Engineer ensures stable, secure and high-performing infrastructure services while actively driving transformation towards a simplified, scalable and security-driven architecture.
