Jobgether on behalf of a partner company seeks a Staff Software Engineer – Market Data based in Switzerland. You will design and build a next-generation market data platform delivering reliable real-time feeds and historical datasets to institutional customers.

You will own distributed backend systems, lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote-first global engineering environment, leveraging AI-assisted development to accelerate

Formación

• Extensive experience building and operating distributed backend systems with high reliability.
• Strong real-time streaming expertise including concurrency and recovery.
• Deep understanding of data correctness, timestamps, and schema evolution.
• Backend engineering skills in Rust or Go or comparable languages.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into robust designs and production services.
• End-to-end ownership of software systems from design to production.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and operate distributed backend systems for market data ingest, processing, storage, and delivery.
• Build robust streaming infrastructure handling event ordering, timestamps, duplicates, and replay.
• Develop reliable client-facing data feeds and APIs with defined delivery guarantees.
• Collaborate to define reference data models, historical data capture, and new data sources.
• Establish and monitor SLOs and data quality metrics across the platform.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement durable fixes.
• Own services through their lifecycle and participate in on-call rotation.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools to explore architecture options and improve docs.
• Share workflows and drive continuous improvements in productivity and quality.
• Lead architectural decisions, document proposals, and translate requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Mentor engineers through implementation, code reviews, and technical discussions.
