Google Zurich is seeking a Software Engineer III to contribute to Business Home projects that enable merchants to scale and optimize their presence across Google’s platforms. You will work on end-to-end features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovations in data processing, security, and AI-powered recommendations.

The role emphasizes mentoring, code quality, and participating in design reviews, with opportunities to switch projects as Google Commerce grows.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related field.
• 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Experience in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.

Aufgaben

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
