About the role

As a senior software engineer on the Team, you will:

• Design and build new features, writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code.
• Work directly with backend and our BFF to define contracts and keep the client and server sides aligned.
• Identify technical debt in the codebase and push through the plan to repay it, not just flag it.
• Respond to production incidents promptly, working across teams to restore service and get to the real root cause.
• Collaborate with designers to keep the UI consistent and usable across a growing feature set.
• Work with platform engineers to improve CI/CD and release processes.

Few things that will help on the job

• Expertise in React and Typescript.
• Working experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Working experience defining frontend architecture, particularly for a client-facing product at scale.
• Working with BFFs.
• Comfort working against backend APIs and feature-flagging systems (we use Flagsmith).

The team

The Web Portal Team owns the web application our clients use every day to manage their digital assets: trading, custody, staking, and account management, all in one place. It's the front door to the bank for thousands of clients, so what we ship here is what they see and feel first.

As a senior software engineer, you'll help shape one of Sygnum's most visible products. You'll build new client-facing features end to end, work closely with the backend and design teams to get the details right, and raise the bar on code quality and reliability for a product that has to work correctly every time, not most of the time.
