Job summary

Cortexia in Switzerland is expanding its engineering team to shape the architecture of a growing platform, from the Cortexia Box in the field to the cloud. You will own the end-to-end design and implementation of Python services and the partner APIs that connect our platform to distribution and OEM partners.

You will collaborate with clients, lead by example on code quality, testing, security and scalability, contribute to ECOS, and help define the long-term technical direction while embracing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development with Python backend.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or willingness to learn.
• Strong SQL, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and cloud hosting.
• Experience with edge devices and embedded Linux is a plus.
• Awareness of data protection and privacy issues.

Responsibilities

• Shape the end-to-end architecture from Cortexia Box to Python backend and APIs.
• Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python, plus partner APIs.
• Develop Python software on Cortexia Box and edge devices.
• Contribute to ECOS, the Rails web platform, and guide technical direction.
• Ship features end to end from client talk to production deployment.
• Integrate partner systems and data pipelines.
• Set technical standards for code quality, testing, security and scalability.
• Document architecture decisions for team reuse.
• Use modern tools, including AI coding assistants, to boost productivity.
