u-blox AG seeks a Senior Signal Processing Engineer to join the GNSS Measurement Engine team in Thalwil, Switzerland. You will design and implement advanced GNSS receiver features in embedded C/C++ to drive high-precision positioning solutions for mission-critical applications.

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in wireless communications or Layer-1 receiver design.
  • Strong programming skills in embedded C/C++, MATLAB, Python or similar.
  • Experience with embedded software development, testing, debugging and validation.

Join us in an exciting opportunity within the R&D department of the high‑precision positioning product portfolio at u-blox. As a Senior Signal Processing Engineer in our GNSS Measurement Engine (ME) team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of u-blox positioning solutions for mission critical. Leveraging your expertise in embedded C, you’ll design and implement advanced GNSS receiver features that impact millions of users worldwide. You’ll be part of a focused team, collaborating closely with a group of exceptionally skilled engineers. Your Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize resilient signal processing algorithms for GNSS measurement engines to ensure reliable operation in harsh electromagnetic environments with significant interference.
  • Conduct proof‑of‑concept (PoC) studies using simulations as well as on‑target verification and validation.
  • Develop, execute, and review test cases to ensure product quality and robustness.
  • Analyse nonconformities, investigate root causes, and implement bug fixes or workarounds.
  • Prepare technical documentation and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Support product owners in backlog planning, prioritization, and refinement activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements management and intellectual property (IP) matters.
Your Skills and Experience
  • A degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in wireless communications, or Layer‑1 receiver design.
  • Strong programming skills in embedded C/C++, MATLAB, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with embedded software development, testing, debugging, and validation methodologies.
  • Proven track record of working with large and complex codebases involving multiple dependencies.
  • Hands‑on mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
  • Analytical and fact‑driven problem solver with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and contribute effectively within collaborative teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • EU/EFTA citizen and/or holder of Swiss Work Permit
Nice to Have
  • Experience with jamming/spoofing detection and mitigation.
  • Background in GNSS signal processing, receiver development, or positioning engines.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
