Job summary

The UN Secretariat in Geneva seeks a consultancy expert to strengthen capacities in services trade under the AfCFTA framework. The role focuses on coordinating stakeholders, developing capacity-building strategies, and delivering outputs that promote liberalization and export growth in key sectors across Africa, with emphasis on women's and youth-led businesses.

Fluency in French and English is mandatory, and prior experience in regional trade programs and UN procedures will be advantageous for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, management, international trade or related field with relevant work in services trade.
• Master's degree acceptable with 2+ years of experience; fluency in French and English required.
• Experience with UN admin/financial procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and govern program activities across ECCAS Commission, member states and ITC.
• Develop TORs for national consultants and coordinate regional experts.
• Monitor and facilitate capacity-building activities and technical assistance.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to annual/quarterly work plans and strategy roadmaps.
