Job summary

STAAR Surgical is expanding with a brand-new manufacturing site in Nidau, Switzerland, seeking a (Senior) Quality Engineer to support cross-functional quality activities. You will lead equipment qualifications, validations, and technical studies, while collaborating with production, maintenance, calibration, and QA teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 2+ years of quality engineering experience (senior: 5+ years).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Quality, mechanical, life sciences or industrial engineering.
2+ years in quality engineering; senior: 5+ years.
Excellent English, other languages are an asset.
Proficient IT skills (MS Office, eQMS, etc.).
Knowledge of Kneat is a plus.
Knowledge of the Kaye Validator System is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support site production, operations, maintenance, calibration and quality teams.
Lead equipment qualifications, validations, and related studies/reports.
Initiate change assessments and impact analyses.
Manage equipment lifecycle requirements and impact assessments.
Represent quality during investigations and audits.
