Jobgether seeks a Senior QA Engineer in Switzerland to own test strategy and automation within a product squad. You’ll shape architecture, quality gates, and testing practices across high-risk fintech domains, collaborating with engineering and product teams from early stages.

As a senior IC, you’ll mentor engineers, lead performance testing initiatives, and drive AI-assisted QA workflows. This role emphasizes technical depth, autonomy, and impact without management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA engineering experience in a software product environment with ownership of testing strategy.
• Strong test automation engineering skills, with production-quality tests in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Deep experience with API testing including REST, contract testing, integration testing, JSON schema validation.
• Hands-on performance and load testing experience, identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements.
• Experience in Java-based backend environments and understanding of system architecture.
• Autonomy to operate without a dedicated QA manager and influence across teams.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and raising engineering standards.
• Fintech/payments or digital financial services experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted QA workflows and LLM-based test generation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed fully within an engineering squad as a core technical contributor.
• Define and refine acceptance criteria with Product Owners before implementation.
• Own the squad’s test architecture and strategy across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
• Lead performance and load testing, baselines, throughput, and concurrency reviews.
• Own DoD and quality gates, ensuring quality before releases progress to staging/production.
• Design, maintain, and improve automated test suites for CI reliability.
• Triage complex test failures and differentiate flaky tests from regressions.
• Mentor QA engineers and contribute to QA standards and tooling decisions.
• Lead strategic QA initiatives and AI-assisted testing workflows.
