Bühler Group is seeking a Senior Process Engineer Innovation Wheat & Rye to shape the future of grain processing. You will drive process innovations across concept to market, reporting to the Head of Process Technology Innovation, and lead technology concepts for customer projects to deliver sustainable value to the milling industry.

You will provide technical leadership across Sales, Quotation, Fulfillment, and R&D, leveraging your milling expertise, and coordinating across global teams.

Join Bühler's Wheat & Rye Business Unit and help shape the future of grain processing. As a Senior Process Engineer Innovation Wheat & Rye, you will play a key role in driving technological advancements across the entire machine-to-market process. Reporting to the Head of Process Technology Innovation, you will leverage your process expertise to evaluate and develop innovative technologies, machines, automation, and digital solutions, while creating technology concepts for customer projects and strategic inquiries that deliver sustainable value to the global milling industry.

• You drive innovation in wheat and rye milling by developing future-focused process solutions from concept to successful implementation
• You lead the integration of process technology, machinery, automation, and digitalization to create efficient, cost-effective, state-of-the-art milling solutions
• You validate and optimize concepts through trials, pilot projects, customer applications, and selected plant start-ups
• You provide technological leadership and hands-on process expertise to support Sales, Quotation, Fulfillment, and R&D teams while building milling knowledge through training and coaching
• You bring deep milling expertise, strong problem-solving and communication skills, proficiency with Bühler control systems, fluency in German and English, and a willingness to travel internationally

These are the skills you'll need

• Extensive milling expertise, supported by an SMS (Swiss Milling School) or DMSB (Deutsche Müllerschule Braunschweig) diploma and at least 7 years of progressive experience in milling operations as a Technologist, Head Miller, or Production Manager
• Solid understanding of Bühler milling equipment and control systems combined with systematic and efficient problem-solving skills
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams, manage conflicts, and build strong professional relationships
• Proactive, creative, and self-motivated personality with a market-oriented approach, professional presence, and willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
• Excellent communication, consulting, and time-management abilities, with fluency in German and English
