Job summary

Omya Group is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer for Dry Processing in Egerkingen. You will lead optimization across dry mineral operations, support CAPEX projects, and drive digitalization and advanced analytics to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Knowledge of grinding, air classification, handling, and thermal processing is essential. You will collaborate with global teams, develop standards, and coach engineers, with a focus on energy efficiency and waste minimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Minerals Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering, mineral processing, or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of dry mineral processing operations and process optimization.
• Experience supporting CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning.
• Experience with process data analytics, digitalization, monitoring systems, simulation, statistics, or advanced process control.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30%).

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization and operational excellence initiatives in dry mineral processing to improve efficiency, reliability, throughput and cost.
• Support CAPEX projects with process design, flowsheet development, equipment sizing and commissioning.
• Develop and industrialize new process technologies and products.
• Analyze plant performance, troubleshoot, and implement sustainable improvements.
• Drive data-driven optimization using analytics, digital tools and modeling.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Develop process standards, guidelines and best practices across sites.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers and plant teams.
• Support sustainability efforts through energy efficiency and emissions reduction.
