Job summary

Try&Hire in Switzerland is seeking a senior process engineer to own and develop core unit processes for a silicon nitride photonics platform. You will lead projects, document unit processes, and ensure manufacturability and yield while collaborating with local and remote teams.

Requirements include an advanced degree in a relevant field, years of experience in semiconductor/photonic process engineering, and strong SPC/DoE/metrology skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field (Materials Science, Microengineering, Physics, Chemistry)
• Several years of experience leading complex semiconductor or photonic process engineering projects
• Deep expertise in process development, SPC, DoE, metrology, and failure analysis
• Rigorous cleanroom discipline and hands-on fab environment experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills across local and remote teams
• Working proficiency in English; French is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and document unit processes across lithography, thin film deposition, etching, and back-end processing

• Develop, qualify, and document unit processes across lithography, thin film deposition, etching, and back-end processing
• Lead end-to-end engineering projects of increased complexity, providing technical direction to engineers
• Maintain process specifications, set SPC control limits, design DoE experiments, and interpret capability data
• Investigate process excursions to root cause and implement corrective actions through change management
• Transfer newly developed unit processes to volume production and support ramp-up activities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the Quality Management System

What you bring

• University or HES degree in Materials Science, Microengineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field

• Deep expertise in process development, statistical process control (SPC), designed experiments (DoE), metrology, and failure analysis
• Rigorous cleanroom discipline and hands‑on familiarity with fab environments
